Psalm 123 (MSG Bible)
“I look to you, heaven-dwelling God, look up to you for help. Like servants, alert to their master’s commands, like a maiden attending her lady, We’re watching and waiting, holding our breath, awaiting your word of mercy. Mercy, God, mercy! We’ve been kicked around long enough, Kicked in the teeth by complacent rich men, kicked when we’re down by arrogant brutes.”
This is the song you sing when you are being picked on, feeling the pressure of the world around you coming down on you.
- We need to learn to Look Up!
Our God is a Big God!
(God breathes out stars) Psalm 33:6
By the word of the Lord the heavens were made, (Didn’t have to do anything but Speak)
their starry host by the breath of his mouth. (All he had to do was breath)
- Don’t miss what God’s doing or about to do in your life!
There is Greatness in God’s Hands! Mercy!
- Don’t give up on God!
3 times he asked for “Mercy” He even pleads for it.
He knew that in Him there was Help!
God does not always do things “Now” sometimes it’s “Not Yet”
Isaiah 40:30-31 (ESV)
Even youths shall faint and be weary, and young men shall fall exhausted; but they who wait for the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles; they shall run and not be weary; they shall walk and not faint.
