~Restaurant Review~

Walker’s Seafood Restaurant
106 E 6th St
Waynesboro, GA 30830

Walker’s Seafood is a family owned restaurant that was started out of a pick up truck on the side of the road a few miles from where they are today selling fresh local fish. If your a seafood lover then this could be the place for you. The fish is all local and most of the food is homemade. The price is not bad for lunch, for the two of us it was around $20.00. The catfish to me was the best you can get without driving to a local restaurant at the beach. The cold slaw however was not the best in the world. The decor however was family friendly more on the elementary side of things. There are paper fish cut outs on the walls and a billboard with fish decor on it. There is nothing wrong with the family decor if you like that laid back style of a restaurant. Walker’s Seafood has been open going on a year here in the next month or so. The owner is very friendly and open to comments and suggestions. The biggest downside to Walker’s is there open times. It took us a few weeks before we found it open for us to try it out. It is closed on Sundays and Mondays and there time during the week is 11am to 8pm but not open for lunch on Saturdays only dinner. Even with their times posted I have seen them closed more then open. I think Sundays would be a prime time for them to be open in the market area they currently in. I would eat there again if I am ever in the mood for catfish.
