This is the fourth and last purple candle. It’s often called the “Angels Candle,” and represents Peace.
Today is Christmas Eve, so the white center candle is also lit. This candle is called the “Christ Candle” and represents the Life of Christ that has come into the world. The color white represents “purity”. Christ is the sinless, spotless, pure Savior.
“Come now, let us settle the matter,” says the Lord. “Though your sins are like scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they are red as crimson, they shall be like wool.”
Once again here is a song from Rend Collective called “Rescuer” (Good News):
What a perfect song to bring in the birth of Christ! Our Rescuer… is here! We will Praise the Lord!
